Usage angle:
First of all, let's understand the rotation direction of the lower pump. Generally, the rotation direction of our horizontal multistage centrifugal pump is: Viewed from the driving end of the pump, the pump rotates clockwise. Then from the assembly point of view, the multistage pump is installed from the non driving end first, and the first stage and the first stage are assembled towards the inlet end. From the above two points, we can judge that the inlet of multistage pump is close to the driving end (coupling end), then the outlet is close to the non driving side (fixed end).

Design angle:
First of all, we need to confirm the rotation direction of the pump. After the rotation direction is determined, the rotation direction of the impeller blade is also determined, because the rotation direction is the same as the rotation direction of the impeller. From the perspective of pump design, the inlet of multistage pump is generally designed near the coupling end. This is beneficial to the stability of the pump. The driving end is the movable end and the non driving end is the fixed end. When the pump has or does not have an inlet pressure, especially when there is an inlet pressure at the inlet, the impact of the inlet pressure on the pump is particularly large, and the impact on the inlet pipeline is also particularly large. When the impact hits the inlet end of the pump, the movable end bearing can move towards the tail cover and open the balance device. This will start the pump. When it runs normally, the balance device will return to the original position in dynamic balance. Therefore, the inlet of the multistage pump is designed on the side of the driving end. It is not designed on the non drive side. The inlet and outlet of multistage pump are as follows:

Some users also require the pump to rotate anticlockwise and place the pump inlet on the tail cover (non drive end). This practice is actually to change the motor to the other end. For another installation method, the inlet end is still close to the coupling.

Simply distinguish the inlet and outlet of the multistage pump, only according to the position of the coupling of the pump can determine where the inlet of the multistage pump is.

1. Near the coupling is the water inlet, and the other end is the water outlet.

2. The water inlet of multistage pump is generally horizontal.
