Reasons and treatment methods of high current in submersible

When the submersible sewage pump is running, the current is too large, which is related to the adjustment of pump valve and the mechanical failure of submersible pump. The main reasons are as follows:
1. The flow of submersible pump is too large or too small. The flow of submersible pump beyond the scope of use will overload the submersible pump: for centrifugal submersible pump or mixed flow submersible pump, if the flow is too large, the shaft power of submersible pump will increase, which will overload the submersible pump; for axial-flow submersible pump, if the flow is too small, the shaft power of submersible pump will increase, which will overload the submersible pump. The treatment method is to adjust the valve properly. For centrifugal submersible pump or mixed flow submersible pump, the flow should be reduced (increased for axial-flow submersible pump), so that the flow of submersible pump is within the normal range of use, so as to avoid overload in the use of submersible pump.
2. The guide bearing wear of motor, rubber bearing of water pump, seal ring wear of motor or water pump in submersible pump will make the submersible pump in abnormal working state, and seriously damage the submersible pump and burn out the stator winding. The treatment is to repair or replace the damaged bearing and sleeve.
3. The wear of thrust bearing of submersible pump motor, impeller and lower cover plate of pump, thrust bearing wear of motor, impeller and lower cover plate of water pump will also make submersible pump in abnormal working state on machinery, and even damage submersible pump seriously. The treatment method is to check the reason of the thrust bearing wear, whether the excessive wear of the thrust bearing is caused by sand and impurities entering the motor cavity due to the mechanical seal damage at the shaft extension end. If it is caused by mechanical seal, the mechanical seal at shaft extension end shall be replaced while repairing or replacing worn thrust bearing, thrust disc, impeller and lower cover plate.
4. It is a serious situation that the rotating shaft of submersible pump is bent, the bearing is not concentric, and the bearing is not concentric. It should be overhauled immediately: straighten the bent shaft, replace the unqualified bearing, and reassemble the submersible pump.
