Shandong Zhangqiu Chemical Plant was built in 1976, with an original design capacity of 50 thousand tons of synthetic ammonia per year. In 2008, Shandong Zhangqiu Chemical Plant invested 120 million yuan for technological reformation of ammonia synthesis, and was completed and put into production at the end of the year.
